Welcome to the SiLoDB site

SiLoDb is an online database that provides access to publicly available sequences of eukaryotic non-coding small (s)RNAs. Currently, the database focuses on plant sRNA data.
The particular emphasis of this database is on genomic loci that produce sRNAs although it is also possible to search for individual sRNA sequences. SiLoDb groups sRNAs that map to the genome in close proximity into loci and allows users to search and browse loci using properties such as the composition of sRNA size classes or distribution of sRNAs on the two strands of a genomic region - properties that are directly linked to the biogenesis and function of sRNA molecules.
In addition to searching and browsing loci and sequence data, this site also provides access to a genome browser to visualise the sRNA matches on the genome.
